Mr. OMINATO said the donation signified another pillar of support by the Government of Japan to the health sector in Zambia. This equipment is expected to improve the Zambian Government’s response to the pandemic and mitigate the burden on the medical staff across recipient hospitals. Moreover, it will strengthen the healthcare system in Zambia for the long-term. He hopes that the equipment would ease the burden on the health system in the fight against other diseases, apart from COVID-19.
