On 9th May 2025, Ambassador Takeuchi Kazuyuki attended the relaunch ceremony of the Zambia-Japan Management and Technology Association (ZAJAMTA). The ceremony was attended by government officials including Honorable Ms. Brenda Mwika Tambatamba, Minister of Labour and Social Security.

ZAJAMTA has trained over 500 Zambians in Japan through the training programs of the Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship (AOTS), and its achievements in the field of technological development and human resource development are highly regarded. After World War II, Japan focused on human resource development in its reconstruction. Japanese-style management, such as the lifetime employment system, continuous employee education, and a culture of consensus building that values on-site opinions, has supported its rapid economic growth. ZAJAMTA was established with the belief that it is an important foundation for supporting human resource development and organizational development by applying these Japanese experiences to Zambia.

At the ceremony, Honourable Minister Tambatamba commended ZAJAMTA for embodying the deep partnership between Zambia and Japan, fostering knowledge transfer, professional growth, and leadership development. She emphasized that the government fully supports initiatives like ZAJAMTA and will collaborate to pursue common goals.

Ambassador Takeuchi called for supports from all stakeholders for ZAJAMTA to continue to be an important platform for promoting practical learning and regional collaboration. He reiterated that "KAIZEN (improvement)" begins with continuous human resource development, and Japan has always prioritized investment in people. Ambassador Takeuchi underscored Japan's continued commitment to being a partner of Zambia and expects ZAJAMTA to contribute to the development of Zambian society and the economy as whole.
