Farewell Courtesy Call on the President of Zambia

On 1st December 2022, Ambassador MIZUUCHI Ryuta paid a farewell courtesy call on His Excellency Mr Hakainde HICHILEMA, the President of the Republic of Zambia, at the State House.
Ambassador Mizuuchi expressed his profound gratitude to the President for his support, which enabled Ambassador to work for further strengthening Japan-Zambia relations between the two peoples, as well as two Governments.
On his part, President Hichilema responded by thanking Ambassador, Japanese Government, people and private companies from Japan for their cooperation with Zambia in various sectors. He especially appreciated Japan’s support for Zambia’s efforts in search of its debt sustainability. He stated that Zambia would continue economic reforms, learning from Japan’s achievements.
