24th Annual General Meeting of the Zambia JICA Fellowship Association (ZAJIFA)

　

　


On July 22^nd, 2017, the 24^th Annual General Meeting of the Zambia JICA Fellowship Association (ZAJIFA), which comprises the alumni who completed JICA’s training programmes in Japan, took place in Lusaka.

This year, the event was attended by 77 persons including Mr. Hidenobu Sobashima, Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Zambia and Mr. Alex Shimumba, Director of Vocational Education and Training, Ministry of Higher Education. Both guests congratulated the activities of ZAJIFA and encouraged its members’ further development.

During the meeting, three groups of ZAJIFA members as well as a Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteer made presentations of their projects, an energy use audit of water utilities, food processing and health systems. In addition, the participants had a vigorous discussion on how to make use of the lessons learnt from their training in Japan for Zambia.

It is expected that ZAJIFA will continue to support the friendly and cooperative relations between Japan and Zambia.
