JAPAN FILM FESTIVAL 2016

The Embassy of Japan in Zambia hosted the Japan Film Festival 2016 in Lusaka from 20th to 22nd September, 2016 at SterKinekor Arcades Mall Cinema. Over 600 people in total turned up to watch the films, filling the cinema beyond capacity on all the three days.
H.E. Mr. Kiyoshi Koinuma, Ambassador of Japan to Zambia attended the Film Premiere and delivered the opening speech. Also, in attendance was Mr. Stephen Mwansa, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Tourism and Arts, who expressed his gratitude on the cultural support extended by Japan.
Although there are not many occasions available for experiencing Japanese Culture in Zambia, this annual festival is expected to enhance mutual understanding by expanding the relationship between Japan and Zambia.
