On 26th February 2026, Ambassador Mikami paid a courtesy call on Honourable Chipoka Mulenga, Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry.
Ambassador Mikami noted that Zambia's successful participation in the Osaka-Kansai EXPO last year had heightened Japanese interest in Zambia. With the Minister, he affirmed his commitment to continue promoting Japanese corporate investment in Zambia and strengthening economic cooperation, building upon the dispatch of Japanese business missions and the bilateral investment agreement.
