Participation in the Pop Culture Event “AniMeet 2025”

On April 19, 2025, AniMeet 2025 took place at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre, attracting anime enthusiasts from various countries. This remarkable event, organised by Nerd Otaku, attracted a vibrant crowd of fans, who were eager to celebrate their love for anime and Japanese pop culture.
 
The Embassy of Japan in Zambia took part of in this remarkable gathering. Our booth featured a range of cultural activities, including demonstrations of traditional yukata dressing and workshops in origami and calligraphy. With invaluable support from members of the University of Zambia Japanese Club, we also hosted interactive games such as Anime Trivia, Tongue Twisters, and a Chopstick Challenge. It was gratifying to see a significant number of people engaging deeply with and appreciating the richness of Japanese culture.
