The official logo for “the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Zambia in 2024” has been selected among 49 entries from both Japan and Zambia, through consultations in the Joint Executive Committee of the 60th anniversary, which consists of the Governments of the two countries and other stakeholders. This logo will be used in the commemorative events to be held throughout the year in the both countries.

The logo mark design was created by Ms. Nagisa Sato at Savannah College of Art and Design. The logo is based on the colours of the flags of both countries and features Zambia's national bird, the African fish eagle, and Japan's national flower, the cherry blossom. It beautifully weaves together symbols of the nature, strength and culture of both countries, expressing the pride and gratitude to the past, present and future partnership between Japan and Zambia.

The logo can be used for events approved as commemorative events celebrating the 60th anniversary year. For information on the event approval procedure, please click here.
