On 22 May, Ambassador TAKEUCHI Kazuyuki paid a courtesy call on Hon. Mr. Charles Milupi, Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development. Ambassador TAKEUCHI stated that next year marks the 60th anniversary of Zambia’s independence which coincides with the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Zambia, hence it will be an important year to re-acknowledge the friendly bilateral relations to date.
Minister Milupi stated that Japan is an all-weather friend to Zambia and expressed appreciation for Japan’s large and wide-ranging assistance in the infrastructure area.Minister also renewed his recognition of the importance of personnel and government exchanges between the two countries under the new dawn administration.
