Ambassador Takeuchi presented the letter of credence to the President of the Republic of Zambia

On 1st February 2023, Ambassador TAKEUCHI Kazuyuki of Japan attended the ceremony held at the State House and presented the letter of credence to His Excellency Mr. Hakainde Hichilema, the President of the Republic of Zambia.
At the ceremony, Ambassador Takeuchi referred to a long-time friendship between Japan and Zambia since Zambia’s independence, and expressed his commitment as Ambassador to further develop and advance it to a new stage. He underscored the efforts made by the New Dawn Government for socio-economic reforms and anti-corruption initiatives since its formation after democratic elections in 2021. Japan will continue to support Zambia and its people to address their own challenges.
President Hichilema appreciated the partnership between Japan and Zambia, and expressed gratitude to the support from Japan and its people.
