2021 Foreign Minister’s Commendations

On 20th August, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan announced the recipients of the Foreign Minister’s Commendations for FY 2021, and among them is Dr. Michelo Syakalima, President of the MEXT Scholarship Association of Zambia.
Dr. Michelo Syakalima, thorough establishment of the MEXT Scholars Association of Zambia in 2005 after studying at Hokkaido University as a MEXT scholar, has contributed to building continuous and robust networks between Japan and former MEXT scholars who play active roles in a variety of fields in Zambia such as politics, economy and culture, and also promoting mutual understanding, cultural exchanges as well as international corporation between the two nations.
