Ambassador Sobashima’s Farewell Reception

On 19 September 2019, Mr. Hidenobu Sobashima, Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Zambia, hosted his farewell reception at his residence.
In his farewell speech, Ambassador Sobashima reviewed his about three years of tenure as Ambassador to Zambia including the visits to Japan by H.E. Dr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu, President of the Republic of Zambia, two times, and thanked those present for their cooperation extended to him.
In his speech as the Guest of Honor, Ambassador Chalwe Lombe, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Zambia, looked back the three years he worked with Ambassador Sobashima, appreciated the support Japan had rendered to Zambia, and wished Mr. Sobashima the best on his next assignment.
About 110 guests were present at the reception from the Government of Zambia, Zambian companies, universities, sport organizations, Japanese companies, ODA related organizations, diplomatic missions and international organizations.
