Zambia-Japan Public-Private Conference for High-Quality Infrastructure

Zambia-Japan Public-Private Conference for High-Quality Infrastructure co-hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan and the Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure Development of Zambia took place on 12th January 2017.
 
This Conference was aimed at promoting ‘High Quality Infrastructure’ in Zambia, by fostering its deeper understanding and exploring specific future collaboration between Japanese and Zambian companies for this purpose.
 
The Conference was attended by the Hon. Mr. Shinsuke Suematsu, State Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan, the Hon. Mr. Ronald Chitotela, Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Development of Zambia, Mr. Hidenobu Sobashima, Ambassador of Japan to Zambia, and officials of the Government of the two countries as well as business leaders for Japan and Zambia (totally about 380), where seminars and workshops with a focus on ‘Quality Infrastructure Investment’ and business matching sessions were held.
 
As a result of this Conference, ‘High Quality Infrastructure Investment’ is expected to be promoted in Zambia.
