Ambassador and Mrs. Akio Egawa hosted a reception to celebrate the birthday of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan on 9 December, 2010 at their official residence. The guest of honour was Deputy Minister of Local Government and Housing, Hon. Moses Muteteka, who represented the Government of the Republic of Zambia. The reception was attended by more than 210 guests from the Zambian government, various organizations and businesses, the diplomatic corps and international organizations, and the Japanese community.
