Signing Ceremony for Grant Assistance for Grass-roots Human Security Project (Vocational Training Center)

 

Government of Japan has provided a grant amounting to 64,742 United States dollars to Ndekeleni Development Foundation through the Grant Assistance for Grass-roots Human Security Project scheme. The Grant Contract between the Government of Japan and Ndekeleni Development Foundation was signed on 23rd March in Lusaka by Ambassador of Japan to Zambia Mr. Akio Egawa and Ms. Rita Nyidenda, Project Manager of Ndekeleni Foundation.
The purpose of the grant is to support the project for the construction of vocational training center to improve imcome generation of those who are affected by HIV/AIDS and their families in Mazabuka. The center is located 5km from Mazabuka town along the Mazabuka-Livingstone Road. The foundation of the center has been already constructed. With the provided fund, the upper structure will be built and 20 tailoring machines and knitting machines will be purchased.
