Dr. Sande Ngalande receives Japanese Ambassador’s commendation


On 26th February, H.E. Kiyoshi Koinuma, Ambassador of Japan to Zambia awarded Dr. Sande Ngalande, Assistant Dean of School of Humanities and Social Sciences, UNZA, with the Ambassador’s commendation in recognition of his distinguished service in contributing to the deepening of mutual understanding and friendship between Japan and Zambia.

 

Since a Japanese Language Course was launched in 2013, Dr. Sande continued to devote himself to developing the Japanese language education as the only teacher in Zambia. The Japanese language course is a significant step toward promoting the understanding of Japan in Africa and expanding the exchanges in culture and academic fields.

 

At the beginning of the awarding ceremony, H.E. Mr. Kiyoshi Koinuma presented his compliments to Dr. Sande by commending him for the significant contribution he has made to the deepening of friendship between both countries. In response, Dr. Sande expressed his gratitude for the commendation, saying that he would like to continue to work towards further strengthening of cordial relations between both countries.
