Networking Reception between the Government of Japan, UNICEF, UNHCR and Japanese NGOs in Zambia
On October 14th, 2015, a Networking Reception was held at the Ambassador’s Residence in Lusaka. More than 20 guests from UNICEF, UNHCR and Japanese NGOs, attended this reception. The main purpose of the reception was to share information and promote cooperation between UNICEF, UNHCR and Japanese NGOs on endeavors to contribute to the economic and social development of Zambia.
His Excellency Mr. Kiyoshi Koinuma, Japanese Ambassador to Zambia, in his opening remarks, expressed his gratitude for efforts of UNICEF, UNHCR, and Japanese NGOs in Zambia. He also reaffirmed the Government of Japan’s commitment to work together with Japanese NGOs and International Organizations as a team for the purpose of encouraging development in Zambia, and to cooperate with those organizations.
Guests from each organization made a presentation of their activities in Zambia and interacted with each other at cocktail party, exchanging opinions of the possibility of joint projects. The reception served as a good opportunity for the organizations to establish cordial relationships and discuss the possibility of the future joint projects in Zambia.
