21st Annual General Meeting of the Zambia JICA Fellowship Association (ZAJIFA)
On March 15th the 21st Annual General Meeting of the Zambia JICA Fellowship Association (ZAJIFA) took place in Lusaka. ZAJIFA comprises members who took JICA training courses in Japan.
General meetings are held once a year and on this occasion, invitees included people from different Zambian government departments, the Embassy of Japan, JICA and those who have been on JICA training courses in Japan.
About 70 fellows attended the event. Honourable Nicholas Banda, Deputy Minister of Local Government and Housing and H.E. Mr. Kiyoshi Koinuma, Ambassador of Japan to Zambia were also present at the event. Both Guests of Honour congratulated the fellows and encouraged them all in their future careers.
During the meeting, JICA course fellows gave presentations about their experiences during their training as well as life in Japan. Five fellows made presentations about their respective training courses on TV production, Agriculture, Health Equipment Management, Audit of Public Infrastructure and KAIZEN as a tool for improvement in the work environment. Each of them recalled their stay in Japan, they also included cultural exchanges they had experienced.
The Annual General Meeting is expected to continuously contribute to the further strengthening of relations between Japan and Zambia.
