Hand-over Ceremony of newly constructed community school buildings at Kanyama area in Lusaka city to St. Abanoub Christian Community School


 

 On 24th July 2014, the handing over ceremony of the project for construction of new community school buildings was held at Kanyama area in Lusaka city. This project was implemented by St. Abanoub Christian Community School with the support of the Government of Japan through Grant Assistance for Grass-roots Human Security Aid. Mr.Hideki Yamaji, Counsellor and  Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Japan and Bishop Paul, Bishop of Mission Affairs for Coptic Church attended this ceremony to celebrate the completion of the new facilities. The new school buildings were officially opened and a tour of the newly built facility was conducted.

 St. Abanoub Christian Community School has been making commendable efforts in providing education to orphans and vulnerable children by running three community schools in Lusaka city.
 With these newly equipped classroom buildings handed over at this ceremony, it is hoped that more children will get opportunities for education under a better learning environment. It is also hoped that the project will further strengthen the cordial relations between Japan and Zambia.
