Third Alliance Forum Development Programme Business Delegation to Africa

 

The 3rd Alliance Forum Development Programme (AFDP) Business Delegation to Africa, chaired by Mr. George Hara, visited Zambia with the view to promoting trade and investment in Zambia.

A gathering was held at the residence of Mr. Akio Egawa, Ambassador of Japan to Zambia on 13 August, during which the delegation and representatives of the Zambian Business Community were able to interact and exchange views.  Dignitaries present at the reception included Hon. Robert Sichinga, MP, Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry and Mr. Ngona Mwelwa Chibesakunda, Ambassador of Zambia in Japan.

During the official visit to Zambia from 13 to 15 August the delegation paid a courtesy call on several government officials including the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Local Government and Housing and the Minister of Mines, Energy and Water Development.
