Handing over of Community School Buildings by Grant Assistance

On 13th March 2012, the handing over ceremony of the project for construction of community school buildings was held at the construction site in Kabanana area, Lusaka City. This project was implemented by a local NGO "Twavwane" with the support of Grant Assistance for Grass-roots Human Security Project by the Government of Japan. H.E. Mr. Akio Egawa, Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Zambia and Hon. Dorothy Kazunga, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Community Development, Mother and Child Health attended this ceremony to celebrate the completion of the new facilities.
So far, the NGO has rented a small independent house to accomodate some 190 children. By constructing new school buildings, the education environment in Kabanana area will be improved
