Signing of the Grant Assistance for Japanese NGO Projects

Government of Japan has provided a grant amounting to 476,951 United States dollars to AMDA Zambia through Grant Assistance for Japanese NGO Projects scheme. Grant Agreement between the Government of Japan and AMDA Zambia was signed on January 27, 2011 in Lusaka by H. E. Mr. Akio Egawa and Ms. Chihiro Kudo, Country Representative of AMDA Zambia.
The purpose of the grant is to facilitate the implementation of the TB Control Project with Focus on Childhood TB in Lusaka City, Phase 1, a community-based comprehensive project to tackle tuberculosis (TB) in unplanned settlements in Lusaka, with particular attention paid to children exposed to the risk of contracting TB.
